HRDA has issued an urgent appeal to the National Human Rights Commission of India on 09 January, 2019 regarding the murder of human rights defender and RTI activist Mr. Bhola Sah.

Mr. Sah was supervising the construction of his house in Banarjhop village in Banka district, when he was asked by some men in an SUV to accompany them to the local police station. They said he had been summoned by the station in-charge (SHO). When he did not return home, his family members inquired from the police official, who denied having called Mr. Sah. Later his body was later found near an embankment with several injury marks.

HRDA prayed for thorough investigation and to take immediate actions on the perpetrators of the case.
